Taking the first step to initiate therapy can be a difficult decision. Often, people explore many alternative options; however, they find that whatever issues they are struggling with persist. It is not uncommon to have mixed feelings about beginning psychotherapy. You may feel embarrassed, unsure of how to proceed or how to find a good therapist. You may feel afraid of the unknown, or uncertain about what therapy can offer you. These are all normal and common feelings.
Coming in for an evaluation period of 1 -3 sessions may help you make the decision whether therapy is right for you and if I am the therapist that may be able to help you.
